OUR STORY...

We met in the summer of 2007, interning in the marketing department of an electronics manufacturer.  On the last day of our internship, 8/17/2007, we went together to the Brookfield Zoo to celebrate the end.  We consider that trip to be our beginning.  We were semi-long distance for the first 3.5 years of our relationship, until a fortuitous opportunity landed Denise a job in Chicago and the chance to live with John in Northwest Indiana.  In June of 2011 we rented a small house with a backyard full of flowers in Porter Indiana and made it home.  That July, for Denise's birthday we welcomed a new member to our family - our cute little dutch rabbit, Lily!

On March 13, 2012, John and Denise met after work to go to the Sears/Willis Tower in Downtown Chicago.  On the Observation Deck on the 103rd floor of the building, in a see-through booth jutting out the side of the tower, John pulled out a ring, got down on one knee, and proposed.  Of course, Denise said yes!!  Our wedding on August 17, 2013 will be on our 6 year anniversary.  There is no better place to start this newest chapter in our life together than at the place where it all began, the Brookfield Zoo.  We cannot wait to celebrate with our friends and family!​
